Laughter as a therapy has been around for a long time. For example, Dr Annette Goodheart a psychotherapist from California specialised in laughter therapy starting in the late 1960’s. She created techniques on how to use laughter to release strong or repressed emotions.
During Laughter Therapy we look at and practise various ways of using laughter in our life and what benefits it has on our physical and mental wellbeing.
Laughter Therapy is where we look at laughter in more detail; the effects on our physical and mental health. Laughter Therapy is very interactive and you will look at how laughter is part of your life, how you can increase the amount of laughter in your daily life.
Laughter Therapy can be done as a group on an individual basis. During Laughter Therapy we look in more detail on the health benefits of laughter. We discuss our own level of laughter and how we can bring more laughter into our lives.
We will understand the role of laughter in our life, how we can bring more laughter in our life to avoid stressful situations.
We will bring more joy and happiness to our daily lives by understanding the role of laughter in our lives.
Laughter can help with pain management because it stimulates the bodies natural opiates.
