Get to know us
Laughter and Life was created in March 2014 and the original focus was on delivering Laughter Yoga.
We run Laughter clubs and bespoke Laughter Yoga sessions in a wide range of settings
Following on from further training we have developed into running Laughter Therapy groups and individual session, Happiness and Mindfulness Courses and Classes.
Our aim is to improve your health and wellbeing in a way that suits you.
Following a successful career in Communications and Change management, for a blue-chip company Cheryl set up Laughter and Life Ltd which delivers Laughter and Mindfulness sessions including training. Cheryl has many qualifications in both Laughter and Mindfulness.
Started in 1995 by Dr Madan Kataria, Laughter Yoga is a combination of yogic breathing, deep belly laughter, moment, laughter exercises usually done in a group setting with childlike playfulness. There is also a relaxation element to laughter yoga. At the end of the session you feel healthier, happier and more alive.
At our laughter which typically last for an hour we practice Laughter Yoga. We start with yogic breathing and clapping, followed by laughter exercises, eye contact, and lots of self-induced belly laughter interspersed with yogic breathing and clapping. There is a relaxation session at the end.
At our Meditation groups we practice Mindfulness Meditation. We also run mindfulness courses. They vary from the standard 8 week mindfulness course to shorter courses on mindfulness in everyday life.
Finding happiness can be difficult as its a state of mind where we find inner joy and peace. There are many techniques that we can use to improve or gain happiness and joy in our everyday life.
